My house was in serious need of a make over. I joined Angie's list to help me find a company that could bring my home back to it's former glory if not better. I found CertaPro at the top of the list, found the closest one and checked out their web site and reviews on Angie's list.
I called for an appointment for an estimate right away. They set the appointment up according to my schedule and Skip the owner showed up right on time. We took a look around to see what worked needed to be done, discussed what kind of prep work was needed, carpentry repairs, colors for house and trim, time schedule for the work from start to finish and finally the price for the work. I found Skip courteous and knowledgeable as he helped be pick out colors for house and trim that I didn't even think about. My original chosen colors would have made my house look like a bunker or a battleship! Needless to say this was not the look I was going for.The colors Skip helped me choose looks fantastic together. My neighbor has stated that "your house looks very serene and what a great job they did". I feel like I have a brand new house and all is right in my world! Depending on where they live I hope that everyone who has a CertaPro company be as courteous and knowledgeable as Skip and his crew on everything from the first contact to the last contact. 11/14/2009 Ridge: The painters were professional, thorough and courteous. We were very pleased with the attention and care they gave every detail required for this rather difficult job. The responded without questioning to the requests we made which were not in the contract. That made us very happy. The end result was a beautiful job followed by thorough clean up. We experienced total job satisfaction. We would recommend CertaPro to everyone.
The workers were on time. They prepared the site for painting completely covering the floors furniture, paintings and all our belongings. They removed all the blinds and window treatment and replaced them upon completion. They attended to all the defects in the walls, ceilings, window and door frames by sanding and caulking throughout the rooms contracted.

10/20/09 Mt. Sinai: It was Skip. He's a good guy. We needed the job done quickly and he got enough people here to get it done in time. It was a very good experience. Being so up front, sending proposal by email right away, everything up front. Always in contact.
10/16/09 South Setauket: We not only had 5 rooms painted but we also needed plastering work done on two ceilings. The painting job is beautiful but the plastering work is fantastic. You can't even see where the flaws were to begin with. Also, the workers were prompt, courteous, neat and pleasant. The owner checked in on a regular basis. From the initial presentation to the final results, the team was very professional and well prepared.
9/17/09 Port Jefferson Station: They did not only the walls and baseboards but a very heavy mirror on the wall needed special fasteners to rehang it and the supervisor came back the next day with better screws to help me put it up. He went over and beyond to help me put it back up. They did a very thorough job with no problems.
Skip he has permanent people on his staff and seem to know exactly what they are doing. Not using casual labor is a big plus. They can do it promptly.
9/11/09 Hauppague: The painters, anything I asked them they did for me. They were excellent workers, they were polite and clean. They were really very good. I had people who came in who lived in the area to visit and they thought it was an excellent job. They were very accommodating. Keep hiring the same kind of workers that you do

8/13/09 Rocky Point: Everything that was contracted to be done was done very well. The workers were very courteous, careful and efficient.
8/8/09 Setauket: The whole process from beginning to end was great! Skip gave me the most detailed estimate I've ever had and he didn't call me "honey", because I hate that!! The crew was very respectful of my home and were very clean.

7/15/09: Miller Place: We've used them many times in past and they always do good work. It's just the way they are. This is the 5th or 6th time we've had them here. They show up on time, do work absolutely clean. The kind of thing you'd always want to have when someone comes in to do work in your house. They always do a fabulous job.
